Our
Story
Gloria Kaye Hicks is the daughter of the late Gloria Dianne (Baxley) Sasser and Charles Wayne Sasser of Lake View, South Carolina. She has been married to Dr. Bishop T. Keith Hicks since 1994, and together they have faithfully served the Lord for more than three decades.

Kaye is the devoted mother of three children of her own, yet her heart for nurturing has extended far beyond her immediate family. She has lovingly helped raise many others along the way, embodying the compassion and selflessness of a true spiritual mother. God has also blessed her with seven grandchildren, whom she loves deeply and cherishes wholeheartedly.

Known for her tireless work ethic and servant’s heart, Kaye is rarely found serving in just one area of ministry. She often says, “God didn’t call me into a ministry—He called me into ministry,” a statement that perfectly reflects her life of continuous service. Whether working behind the scenes or leading from the front, she gives generously of her time, talents, and energy to help others and advance the Kingdom of God.

As a pastor’s wife, Kaye is a steady pillar of strength and support. Dr. Hicks often says of his wife, “She makes me look good,” acknowledging her invaluable role in both ministry and life. Over the years, she has led and organized numerous fundraisers, raising countless dollars in support of ministry efforts and community needs. Her leadership, dedication, and integrity have left a lasting impact on every congregation she has served.

Alongside her husband, Kaye served as a pastor within the Church of God for more than 26 years. In October 2025, they stepped away from the denomination, but their passion for God and commitment to fulfilling His purpose did not end with that transition. Instead, it marked the beginning of a new chapter. Together, they planted GraceLife Community Church, where they faithfully serve today, working diligently toward establishing a permanent home for the ministry.

Kaye Hicks is known as a woman of unwavering faith, relentless compassion, and sacrificial service. She is a giver, a helper, a leader, and a constant encourager—living out her calling daily and inspiring others to do the same.
